On our way: el Camino de Santiago

My mom has always wanted to go on the Camino de Santiago, the way of St James. When my dad passed away in February, the idea became more urgent. To support her on this adventure, my brother and I decided to join her.

So here we are, groggy and early on a foggy morning at the station in lovely Lugo, waiting for the train to Sarria, where we’ll begin our 117 km journey, on foot, to Santiago de Compostela. This is the shortest and most popular trail, but it may prove to be more than enough for us. I’ll be keeping you posted on here; in the meantime, here are some photos so far of Lugo, which we’ve loved…

Buen Camino!
