Mexico City, Part 2
We’re heading to the airport soon, and are very sad to go.
We spent the day yesterday in and around the Zocolo, the heart of the city.
We visited the National Palace (free) to admire Diego Rivera’s magnificent murals depicting the history of Mexico…
The garden in the palace courtyard is an oasis:
We left the palace, and wandered through the open markets lining the surrounding streets, which looked like wedding party central:
It was good to get back to Condesa, our green and tranquil neighborhood, after a day of sightseeing. Here’s our house; our apartment is on the 2nd floor on the left:
